There is a quote that I really love by Kenneth Goodman, Co-director of the Univ of Miami Ethics program: "Civil society sometimes requires we take a deep breath, recognize many of our compatriots are morons, and press on with grace and dignity. It can make you nuts, but that's what civilization requires."
