How much do you believe it costs AMD to make a 1M A64 3000?? A $ figure please.


I got news for you AMD has not been making a profit selling CPU's for about a year, actually you could make an arguement that AMD has been profit negative going back to its start as a public company.

As for how much it costs AMD to make a profit for a 1meg A64, I have no idea, but obviously AMD thinks trying to sell a 512k
A64 may be one of the few things they can do to reach profitabilty, because they are not there yet.
