I think there's an awful lot of condemnation of methodology going on for a review that hasn't even been published yet. (not by you personally, paul) I suspect that Johan is not "tweaking" timings to the extreme, or anything of that nature. It's probably something to do with proper NUMA recognition, but WAITING for the review is probably a wise course of action.
