FIRST AMERICAN SCIENTIFIC CORP. and THERMIX COMBUSTION SYSTEMS INC. sign Letter of Intent to combine micronization and dust burning technologies for generating BTUs from biomass
FASC-OTC,BB
VANCOUVER, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ - Thermix Combustions Systems Inc., in business in Montreal since 1980, designer and installer of computer controlled, high heat industrial furnaces, and First American Scientific Corp, owner of the patented KDS Micronization System, have agreed in principle to the formation of a joint venture corporation ``Alternative Energy Systems'' which will combine their respective technologies into one complete alternative green energy system. The KDS dust burning system will enable Thermix's large fossil fuel dependant clients to recycle waste hog fuel/biomass which can be micronized and burned as a low cost alternative fuel.
FASC and Thermix will provide the equipment and engineering expertise to AES, who has already received serious interest from three of Thermix's clients. Initially, AES will concentrate on the North American market, however, economics of the European markets with stricter regulations relating to waste disposal, are a high potential as well. Sales projections prepared by Thermix's accountants indicate projected revenue of $9 million Cdn in the first year and escalating to $39 million Cdn by the end of the third year. Both parties will share equally in all profits.
According to Brian Nichols, President and CEO of FASC ``we are extremely pleased to join forces with an industry leader of the caliber of Thermix who will bring a wealth of knowledge and engineering expertise to assist in enhancing our technology and putting it to work''. The process of combining and adapting the micronizing and wood dust burning technologies to create an integrated renewable green energy system is to commence immediately.
