I'm quite familiar with CPI and how it works. I am referring to an index, similar to the dollar index. It's on a scale of 0-100. It's a sliding scale index that measures the market's "consensus" as to whether the Fed will raise, cut, or hold.

For example, when various news outlets say, "the market consensus is 60% is that the Fed will cut rates..." that number is coming from this special consensus index. Apparently, there are also market consensus indexes for the ECB and the BOE.

I'd love to get my hands on those...
