heh well thats because stockcharts is all about charts, and MM is a market maker why would he show up on a chart?

there 2 different things people use to play stocks, either 1 at a time but preferably both at the same time.

go to investopedia and learn about Level 2 and youll understand more about MM's and so forth. If youre new i know all of this is confusing, but try to make use the net as best as you can. Search for every word you dont understand and so forth.

anyway to quickly answer your question, you will never know when MM like QUIN is making a move, unless you have Level 2 and you are looking at each stock specifically.
