Epidural, as I understand it. I really haven't discussed it with the pain management Dr. He originally seemed to be pushing toward surgery, but the surgeon thought the shot should be tried. Clearly if it's surgery it will be rather complex as there is substantial damage to clean up. I'm hoping the shot works, but believing it's just going to postpone surgery a few weeks, or months.
