Yep, Anavex Studies Blarcamesine in Caenorhabditis elegans

As commented by others on this board, I also have to believe that murine models of lifespan are in progress, if not already completed.

I'm one of the others. I've long contended that Anavex has privately conducted studies of their Sigma-1 receptor agonist drugs on the lab roundworm, Caenorhabditis elegans. C. elegans is a standard lab animal used to test anti-aging mechanisms of drugs, toxins, and nutrients.

Specifically, blarcamesine’s studies demonstrated effect of enhanced autophagic flux in human cells and in C. elegans as well as increased proteostasis capacity and ability to promote autophagosome biogenesis, autophagic cargo reception, and lysosome fusion.

Doubtless, yes, Anavex has conducted parallel studies in murines, too. They know a lot more about the efficacies, safety, and applications of their drugs than they've publicly revealed. At the right time, it will all become public.
