Devin Williams seals Yankees fate (thanks, Jasson Dominguez) in awful loss to Rangers
The worst team you've ever seen is at it again.

The Yankees and Rangers were scoreless heading into the bottom of the eighth. Aaron Boone called on Devin Williams — Why? We'll never know — to handle Marcus Semien, Adolis Garcia and Joc Pederson. He got Semien to ground out, but not before another nightmare sealed the Yankees' fifth straight loss.

Adolis Garcia ripped a liner to left field, and he was rewarded a double, but some rabid Yankees fans would disagree with that call. If the ball hits you in the glove, it's more than likely an error, and that's exactly what happened when Jasson Dominguez tried to track Garcia's hit down. Dominguez awkwardly stabbed at it, couldn't haul it in, and Garcia was on second base.

That was all Williams needed to commence the meltdown. He walked Joc Pederson, who had a .260 on-base percentage coming into this game. He's somehow a completely new hitter with the Yankees in town after his game-tying blast off Williams in the ninth on Monday.
