1) Hank Paulson and James Lockhart with President Bush's blessings put FnF in a "temporary" conservatorship to bailout the TBTF banks.
2) President Obama with help of National Economic Council, FHFA and Treasury made the conservatorship permanent so he could use FnF equity as his personal piggy bank. His administration looted $256 billion of their equity.
3) Soon after President Trump took office in 2017, James Watt attempted to stop the NWS. Mnuchin insisted it continue. Trump I administration looted another $45 billion and was stopped by the 5th Circuit Enbanc ruling. Calabria didn't end the NWS. Two good things Calabria actually did was pause the CRT and impose Forbearance during Covid. This saved the economy from a repeat of 2008.
4) President Biden obviously wasn't in control and Sandra Thompson once again implemented the CRT program to benefit political donors from both parties.
5) I concede that Trump II has it's priorities before it can focus on releasing FnF. However, Pulte is wasting his time criticizing Powell instead of doing things he can do without President Trump holding his hand: a) list them on NYSE, b) end CRT program, c) release the stress test results, and d) lower the ERFC.
