I personally think that Pulte confused everyone with his first TV interview and was sent back after some coaching to clarify what he meant. He was much better in the next couple interviews and now appears to be enjoying them.

My translation of President Trump and Pulte's words:

Private = out of conservatorship

Public = shares listed on a major exchange

American People = taxpayers? shareholders?

President Trump retain control = FHFA won't be abolished after conservatorship ends. It still remains their Regulator. As their Director serves at the President's pleasure, President Trump will continue to retain control.

I liked that he reiterated he doesn't think they need to raise additional capital. That means he's going to revise the ERCF downwards. They're ready to exit anytime the President says so. HOLD ON TO YOUR GOLDEN TICKETS!
