Again, my hedges against a big selloff are GLD and MSTR. Also own a couple of utilities-EXC and CEG. CEG is now considered an AI play, so, it is VERY volatile for a utility stock. Nevertheless, utilities will survive a deep recession or even a depression. They are great defensive plays, imo.
Also, people will need groceries, so I guess WMT is another good defensive play, but I sold my position earlier in the year.
VLO won't go out of business, either, but I remember buying it in the $30's many moons ago. It is not immune to a major selloff.
OT: Petrol prices have dropped 25 cents a gallon here over the past 3 days. Saw it in the low $2.80's.
