Drew Horn, former top US official on strategic minerals and energy supply chain, director of national intelligence on Niocorp (NB):

Here is the part of the transcript related to Drew Horn. Who is Drew? Drew Horn is the founder and CEO of GreenMet. Drew is the former top US official on strategic minerals and energy supply chain development, he is a highly regarded business leader and has served in the highest leadership assignments in the White House in the first Trump administration and in the director of national intelligence or ODNI ( sic) and in the US departments of energy and defense. Prior to his government service he was a strategic management consultant at one of the big four consulting firms, his expertise knowledge and contacts are quite literally unmatched in this industry. Currently is leading Trumps fact finding mission on rate earth to Greenland.
“ … so Drew let me turn it over to you

well thanks so much Jim and thanks Mark and Scott and everyone for allowing me to have a brief moment here to just share some of the good news um I'm going to try and keep this uh relatively short and kind of to the point because I'm probably the least important person on this call here but I think I can validate how much of a priority this is with the current White House and how this solves a very you know almost impossible problem from perception at least as far as a year or so ago um and also just one final note apologies for being somewhat less formal, uh than normal and in my home office actually have to head to Greenland uh in about an hour or so I'm uh doing this before going over there to try and get some uh forward progress on some of the things that the president and others
want to do and um I think minerals is obviously one of his top priorities right now so um to state the obvious um Mark Jim and Scott and team uh have had the attention of US government leadership for quite some time it predates me even obviously this is a project that has incredible potential and impact and I think it's perceived as such and has been um it now has the position I would say of being the flagship project from a government perspective on how to advance uh rare earth and critical mineral policy with a project and with a major project that incorporates multiple forms of government funding and support and so um I spent most of the last week uh going back and forth between the West Wing and the uh Pentagon just kind of looking at this and some of the other priorities i I think there is a major mandate to move quickly uh and the fact that NioCorp has already demonstrated that it meets that strict criteria um even I would say coming out of you know the past two administrations uh it's essentially an easy button for what this White House wants to do and so uh you know looking at the pending disbursement coming out of DPA and then the follow-on advancement as I would say the flagship XM project uh I anticipate that it's going to be pursued for uh large amounts of other federal support um there's definitely an appetite I would say to try and advance projects like this one of the things that I talked about with uh the industrial policy leadership yesterday was the ability to potentially leverage uh the DA stockpile as a future customer and purchaser for some of these key elements um I think this is a very I don't want to say easy but very appropriate project to potentially look at some of that nesting and incorporation and obviously what the President is looking to do from my understanding is to try and ensure that defense and the commercial sector are closely aligned on not just advancing and investing and developing these kinds of projects from a capital perspective but also looking to come in as long-term customers as we try to fix what is a very pivotal problem that everyone's now aware of and so I would just summarize by saying that this is a project that I think will have uh much more support coming in in various means than it already has which of course is substantial um it has front attention of everyone from the president on down the various councils are all looking at this as a flagship from you know obviously the national security council national economic council and the new national energy dominance council are seeing this as a way to kind of uh galvanize and focus other minerals projects across the industrial policy spectrum so um lots of exciting things happen uh happening and moving right now uh Mark and Jim obviously are at the front of it with the uh the EXIM conference but I would just say there's much more to come and I believe it will come very rapidly and I think it's just it's deserved but it's also it it's very nice to see the appreciation and prioritization of this project as I would say the number one uh rare earth project inside what the Trump administration is looking to do very quickly and that's really that that's just all I have perfect thank you!”
