Picked up my renewed Vascepa prescription yesterday at CVS. My co-pay cost (with new insurance ) was $153.17 for 90 day, 3 months supply. Prior cost for many years before July 1, 2024 was $9 to $15 for that 3 months supply. That is not mere inflation at work but is the result of collusive deception and unfair competition from 2 generics and the fraud involved in their invalidation of Amarin's Marine patents.
How does that last co-pay cost compare with what others here are paying for Vascepa scrips or their specific generic scrips with their particular insurance plans?  I would appreciate as many answers as possible from many areas of the country.  I intend to send that information to the DOJ Attorney General and FTC Chairman as evidence of higher, increased domestic cost of drugs in U.S. My PCP has always opted out of Medicare for that Vascepa scrip.
In addition to the DOJ and FTC, I intend to send all information re fraud and high Vascepa cost to both the Secretary of HHS and the Secretary of Commerce. Tariffs could be increased on imported generic products.
Remember that Express Scrips/EverNorth and CVS/CareMark have sued FTC in W.D. Missouri last year, asserting that their corporate images have been irreparably damaged from that FTC FAQ published late July 2024. They deny increasing drug costs in the U.S. and ask for money damages and an apology. They also want rescission of that FAQ sheet. The suit is pending, as far as I know.

Has Trump really fired the remaining Democrat members of FTC, apart from Powell? Replacing Powell with former FED governor Warsh?
