OK, about 60 out of 190 countries in this world have a GDP larger than $450 billion US. While it’s a true statement, I fail to see any relevance whatsoever to quantum computing or quantum anything.

Then you go and make the outlandish statement. that quantum computing will grow to somewhere between 450 billion and $800 billion US. If we look at IONQ, it’s going to struggle to get to 1 billion before 2030 given that its cumulative revenue is less than 100 million since it’s IPO.

I keep asking what business processes will be able to use any service or product from any of the emerging quantum corporations. So far the answer has been “none“. …. And no one talks about generating any earnings anytime soon.

Well, it’s nice to dream about the enormous potential. It really needs to be some reality associated with those dreams. So far, no business seems to be eager or anxious or even willing to spend any money buying any quantum service if the term “any money“ is defined as being several billion dollars annually.

And you getting excited about the fusion of quantum computing with AI is utterly irrelevant.

… Unless you’ve got several hundred billion dollars, that you’re gonna spend on this fusion product. Right now, no business or government for that matter is going to spend the kinds of dollars that you’re dreaming about. …. On something that doesn’t even exist and probably will not within our lifetime.
