Where do we find hope? Where do we find peace? Those two questions are the questions a great deal of folks are asking themselves every single day or at least quite often. All you have to do is look around and it dont take long to see that most folks have no hope and peace because their focus is on the world. However...there is hope and there is peace for everyone...but of course...that hope and peace is found only in Jesus. And yes...even as a believer we can at times...sometimes maybe for a short or long period of time...when our flesh the world or satan is having at us...find ourselves looking for hope and peace. So...im just here to remind y'all what we already know. You see...when you and i accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior...we were born-again to what the Bible calls a “living hope”...a hope that is not wishful thinking...but a hope that is based on the reality of God Himself giving us hope in this life and eternal hope thru the power of the birth and death and resurrection of His Son Jesus. This living hope means we can persevere through trials...rough spots and even pain. This living hope means we may stumble and fall sometimes...but we will not falter completely because we are walking with Jesus filled with the Holy Spirit every moment of every day. Jesus promised us that He will never leave or forsake us...how cool and awesome is that! This living hope means we have a present and a future that is sure as we walk this earthly path....and...the peace God gives us when we accept Jesus is a peace that the unsaved world just cant know. It means that we can enjoy the serenity of heart no matter what happens to us. Jesus told us...“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." So...where is the hope? Where is the peace? That comes only from a personal relationship with Jesus and thru our surrender to Him! So let me ask you...have you invited Jesus into your heart? If not Gods desire is that you will experience that hope and peace in your heart today…..and if you are born-again going thru a rough patch this is just a reminder...embrace those promises of God that you have stored in your heart knowing that He is with us every second of everyday.
“And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you.
Psalm 39:7
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John 14:27
His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence,
