AO- Agree 100,000% of course we do not want to be auctioning off our industrial infrastructure!! this does not require a great deal of thought.... mostly common sense. Are we going to be selling off our national security in the form of military base sales? we've already had our manufacturing /industrial base gutted and lost so much to other countries that play by a whole different set of rules, i.e. their govt subsidizing their industries, think China dessimating many of our industries thru their state owned 'private industry' in addition to stealing over $600B /Yr. in intellectual property. We can NOT get an adult into the oval office fast enough to stop the exodus of jobs/industries from our country, in short OF COURSE WE DO NOT WANT TO SELL OUR MANUFACTURING BASE INFRASTRUCTURE ( and steel/iron, critical building raw materials would be a the top of that list! IN the event of war or the necessity to ramp up defense assets we need all the steel/iron etc.. without being beholden to other countries.... this argument isnt even close IMHO, and when is the last time you saw the US buying national infrastructure assets in China? or Japan? or anywhere else? We may have been compromised by our leaders (in their dealings with China and other countries in the past) but with new blood in the WH we better hope that we are not beholden to these countries and that the administration focuses on what is good for the American people, lord knows that the US has done more than it's share of good around the world, with rebuilding most of the world following WW2, and financing China's rebuild in the last 25 yrs. thru unfair tarrifs, now, forgive the US if we want to focus on our own country for awhile, at least until we get things back in shape..... all IMO
