My draft number was 39. I would have been on the bus to basic training if I hadn't joined the Va Tech Corps of Cadets the year before (figured I would go in as an officer if I had to go). Yep, that song rings true for me also. Selective Service is involuntary servitude and should be against the law.

I play the song every Thanksgiving and have since I was drafted back in 1971. And sing along with feeling!
