The town of Bishop and surrounding area elevation is 4100 feet and rarely if any snow lasts more than a day on the ground. Now the mountains next to it is a different story with the elevation hitting over 9000 foot and snow had already hit the ground. Honestly, I don’t think you could have a mill in a better location, weather wise. Their access road is a1 mile very straight and wide hard pack road that is heavy truck friendly with one turn leading to US Highway 6 which runs all the way to the East coast and open year around, and in 5 miles it crosses US hwy 395 that is also open year around and runs all the way to the Canadian border. The mill is only 225 miles to their mt. Vernon mine in Sierra county, which in my opinion is the perfect setup with the mill being capable of operating 365 days a year!!!
