Yes, these experts opined that a new Trump administration would likely be pro-innovation, creating reforms in patent law which would, for example, allow patent owners to file injunctions in cases of infringement. It would have congress clarify Alice, which contains certain (intentional?) ambiguities that have been used to invalidate many patents, and it may revamp the PTAB, and have the DOJ take a look at antitrust laws with an intetest in strengthening property rights, all good for patent owners. We already know that the system is rigged against the little guy, and is therefore in much need of reforms. Let's hope that these anticipated reforms come in time to aid companies like VoIP-Pal to succeed in their efforts to level the playing field and monetize their IP. My optimism has been rekindled by this historic election, and I look forward to seeing what this new administration may bring. GLTA.
