Don't despair. Although I authored my doom-and-gloom message earlier, I've accepted my fate at this point with Amarin, for better or worse, and I believe the company has some things in its favor even at this dark moment. For one, it's still sitting on a pile of cash that should provide a long enough runway to get off the ground, even if it loses as much as $15 million to $20 million for a few quarters. Second, it's back in the hands of a president who has been with the company a very long time and has played a role in guiding it through seemingly hopeless moments before. Third, revenues will begin to accumulate in the next year from around the globe and we'll finally be able to see revenues start to grow rather than constantly contract. Fourth, the company has secured a 10-year extension of its patent rights in Europe and approval in China, both of which are worth more than Italy, France and Germany combined. Someday, the share price will rise from the ashes. And, for some of us, so will we.
