I think it is very likely LWLG and NVIDIA are working together. To what capacity? TBD.

At the bottom of this post is a copy/paste of a small portion of RichardL's summary after he attended the Optica PECC conference last fall. The speaker being referenced was Ashkan, the same gentleman from the conference this week.

Also, the message from the "executive" I posted a couple months ago had a quote where Marcelli (lol) said exactly this - “Let’s put it this way. Anyone not trying to work with NVIDIA is a fool and I’m no fool. What’s the old saying? I can neither confirm nor deny that we are working with NVIDIA."

Since then, Marcelli has told a different shareholder that they are "well acquainted" with NVIDIA.

"NVIDIA is taking an aggressive stance. Their Principal of Silicon Photonics Products kicked off the presentations and he led with, “We are not married to any technology. Please come talk to me after the presentation and tell me why I’m wrong and how you can solve our problems. Then we’ll just buy you, or at least we’ll buy your solution.” They are open to any solution that solves the hyperscalers’ pain points with bandwidth and power. He said, “We don’t give a shit about standards.” Standards slow down the pace of innovation. Nvidia is getting into the optics (photonics) business because the more cost and power savings they can realize from optics, the more GPU’s they can ship. So, they are very aggressive in getting the right optics technology so they can sell more electronics. They need to go to CPO now because the copper trace at 400G per lane is prohibitively expensive and they also need a 400G modulator. He mentioned Barium Titanate (BTO) is “super expensive” and they are open to other new materials. During the Q&A, Brad Booth (NLM Photonics) asked a bandwidth question. Then Jose Pozo asked Brad whether polymers can be applied to CPO for 400G per lane and Brad gave a thumbs up. I later noted that Atikem (LWLG business development) was talking to the NVIDIA presenter."
