Nice to see that Apple joins the ranks of companies using organic light emission display ( OLED) from Universal Display. The shift from inorganic to organic materials may well become an industry trend.

Apple’s decision this month to switch all iPhone models, including the iPhone SE, to OLED by 2025 marks the end of its decade-long investment in microLED. Despite spending over US $3 billion, technical challenges and OLED’s rapid improvements led Apple to abandon microLED for consumer products.
