JRoon, I understand where you are coming from and I'm glad your way of eating works for you..... we have been told since the 60's of the evils from cholesterol and saturated fats..... numerous studies were cited to convince the country and the world to reduce heart attacks and strokes by reducing consumption of saturated fats and red meats. Eat more heart healthy grains, carbohydrates, sugars, and seed oils. What has happened since? The world has been reducing consumption of saturated fats and red meats since then and heart disease has become the number one killer on the planet?

There were very few cases of heart disease in the early 1900's. What did people eat? Lots of red meat, saturated fat's and veggies. What they didn't eat was cholesterol reducing polyunsaturated fat from seed oils. Did you know that Crisco was developed by a German company to lubricate machinery?

The Inuit tribes in remote arctic areas diet is/was 90% meats and fats from seals, fish, caribu, moose, bear, etc......records show that they were incredibly healthy peoples until governments like the Canadian government do what all governments do to indigenous peoples......force them out of their lifestyle and adopt a "better way". Now they suffer the same fate as anyone does on a Western diet. Sad really.
