If Windows 365 from the cloud is down today, why would you want to back up your data to the cloud? Why wouldn’t you want to back up your data to an encrypted portable solid state drive that can store up to 1TB of data at a reasonable cost and if the cloud gets hacked your data is safe?? Methinks do you have any thought on this? Ok, the cloud may be more convenient, but there is more risk with the cloud as evidenced by this Microsoft 365 outage!! And if there is a ‘usage surge’ why wouldn’t you want to use the device instead of the cloud a trust at the edge of the network!!!
