I can see your point on this for handguns, but remember not everyone carries a gun in their car. If you just aimed at selling to gunowners you could be leaving out a large client base. But a small one with a automatic slide for a handgun would be great. Place that in the radio/heating area not much bigger than a standard radio - perfect location, out of sight, and easy access. Market that in a sportmans magazine.... guy sitting in his SUV, with a suspicious person approaching his vehicle, him accessing the safe with hand gun already slid out (via the automatic slide)... and great. Try to sell that feature to a travelling business man....no. Have one in the trunk that can lock up a laptop.... sure. Market this in a business magazine- guy in a suit, at the trunk of his BMW retrieving his laptop - yes.
