As a headliner, he would've spoken, but if he didn't it's understandable if this event was scheduled prior to a potential Shell deal for block 4, followed by a Total deal for the JDZ.

With such deals possibly in play, there really is no further reason for him to speak, otherwise he wouldn't waste a plane ticket and possibly a private jet ticket to attend and then refrain from speaking.

If there were no deals in play, he would definitely take the opportunity to speak to promote investment into ERHC's blocks with a Sept 30th deadline looming, especially since he's one of the headliners.

But with a possible deal in play, it's more fun to go just to socialize with friends.

Let's all hope he didn't speak!!

Attending and not speaking as the headliner is definitely a "flex" move.
