N7 Based on my limited business dealing with Germans or Germans with US resident status / citizenship . They are very pragmatic .
Can the same risk reduction be achieved by simply switching anyone on a low intensity generic statin to a high intensity generic statin and increasing the dose ?
Simivastatin to Astorvastin ( Lipitor ) for instance .
Have CAD patients done all they can re diet and exercise ...walking over 5,000 steps a day for instance ..to lower their risk of heart disease ?
Germany is the major economic power in the EU ...I don't expect them to be told what to do by anyone .
Having said that ...if the data is confirmed by independent sources and they see economic benefit ....then they will act
