Ocean Miner
We believe we have a unique technology that may be applied to the facile
and economical development of a domestic and robust Rare Earth
supply-chain, even when they are only present in very low
concentrations. We seek support to move forward.
We are willing to process an ore-sample and return its Rare-Earth
content as a demonstration of the validity of the technology.
The underlying science was developed in 2007 to address clean-up of the
contaminated land at the Nuclear Test Site in Southern Nevada.
It was adapted for ocean mining of low concentrations of valuable elements
in sea water in 2021-22; field-tests are ongoing.
We have recently come to believe that it may be that it may be beneficially
adapted to land-based mineral deposits of the Lanthanide Rare Earths
(and certainly the Actinides as well). Intended for recovery of very
low concentrations in sea water, it would be applicable to low-grade
ore bodies not deemed economically feasible to develop, as well as
some mine tailings and even coal deposits not presently recognized as
having Rare Earth value, and by extension some ash from coal-fired
power plants. It is of course directly applicable to high-grade
deposits, requiring much less processing infrastructure and chemical
waste.
