"Financial advisors" from take your pick of pretty much any "investment management" firm. I never heard a different story from any of them, large or small. Only one, in my experience, would tell me what their ROI on average was for their clients, though whether it was a real number I couldn't say.

The usual answer was "we can't due to client confidentiality." But they could always produce choice "representative" samples of unnamed client portfolios.

And remember the 2001 tech stock bubble debacle? Every - and I mean, EVERY - financial advisor I spoke to after that said, "Oh, nOOOOOOO, we didn't over invest our clients in tech stocks." Every. Single. One.
