I need to clarify a mention in that link…..

That high grade 1836 P Gold Half Eagle is not the finest example known of that montage, it’s the finest example known to come from the Pulaski (at that time) of that mintage. I think that description could have been better written.

It’s was an unrelated party to BW or the partnership that was re-selling the coin.

There are some 64 and 65 1836 P Gold Half Eagles known. See link below.

That particular coin is worth around $20K.

That said, I don’t know Keith personally, but I do know the first batch of 2021 coins were delivered to his house, so the partners that funded the project obviously trust him.

The project was billed about $192K for that season and about 4 times that was recovered.

Now that’s not some stellar season, but it showed the OTC was simply a hinderance to operations, mainly because it’s better to keep secret in this industry.
