2023 North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year Award™ Winners to Be Announced on January 11
Among the most eagerly anticipated and highly coveted honors in the automotive industry, the North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY) Awards will announce its 2023 winners during a media briefing at M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Mich., at 11:00 a.m. ET on January 11, 2023. In partnership with the Automotive Press Association (APA) and the Detroit Auto Dealers Association (DADA), NACTOY’s officers will announce the 2023 winners in three categories: North American Car of the Year, North American Truck of the Year and North American Utility Vehicle of the Year.
Initiated in 1994, NACTOY is judged by a jury of professional automotive journalists from the United States and Canada representing the full spectrum of print, broadcast and digital media. To ensure the integrity of the vote, jurors’ ballots are confidentially tallied by Deloitte and the results will remain secret until the envelopes are opened on stage.
The 2023 winners will be determined by a final vote of NACTOY’s 50 jurors from a pool of three finalist vehicles in each category, which were announced at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, and will be on-site for the event. For those who cannot attend in person, the event will be live streamed; a link will be circulated in the days leading up to the event.
NACTOY president Gary Witzenburg will be available to discuss the awards process, including the rigorous evaluation process, in the days leading up to the event, and can discuss the winning vehicles immediately following the event.
