Issue #2 - solved . . . .

2) Win 7 ... Are there "timer" adjustments to Sleep mode so it remains asleep?


Just had to toggle the selection buttons from High performance to Balanced then back to High performance
and of course the obligatory Shut down>Restart between each change.
Control Panel>Power Options>Select a power plan>Preferred plans


Windows operating systems randomly change things sometimes and has been doing this since at least Windows 95...
