Actually, the problem my son is facing is that he gets contracts that only last 2-3-4-5-6 months at a time with a promise of a permanent job. But it never happens because of the way the French system works.
So, you manufacture nuclear submarines, for example.
Not enough manpower, and with the French laws regarding employment, you don't want to hire someone to design a widget, so they go to a contractor, who doesn't know how to make a widget and they contract with a subcontractor who contracts with another etc etc.
When you get to the end of the line, you have a small company that needs someone right away to design a widget. Once that is done, the company has no further contracts and the widget designers are shown the door.
In all of this, it boggles the mind that a toothbrush doesn't cost a billion euros, what with all the people involved.
I don't care if I'm ignored... the final outcome will justify my actions and speak for themselves
