Rear end car collisions can often result in pretty good payouts.
Plus some people stage them.

Nurses during Covid were in severe short supply resulting in pretty high salaries. Especially working double shifts. Held true for traveling nurses as well. Throw in her degrees in nursing and she was paid very well. More than some doctors who have to deal with overhead.
She could have easily made enough to pay for that car.
