John Rubino mentioned something recently that has made sense in the past - to summarize he basically said it's not that unemployed people are necessarily getting jobs, but that part-timers and full-timers are taking on extra jobs that are counted as additional jobs. This could partially explain the numbers.

If the supply chain continues to fall apart, we'll see big increases in the unemployed.
