What you say about K-M plots is true, they change throughout the trial. What cannot happen is if 50 people have lived 5 years, 7 years, whatever, the K-M plots should never show fewer than that once the people have lived that long. Each time someone passes on there will be a tick down at that date, it won't move. If someone passes at 1 month there will always be a tick down at 1 month, likewise if it's month 75, it will be fixed at that point.

The K-M plots we've seen to date do not reflect 50 or more being alive at 5 or 7+ years, but Dr. Liau said the median for the Top 100 was nearly 5 years, then years later Dr. Ashkan said it was 7 years +. This is not to say that 50 or more are still alive at 7+ years, but 50+ would have had to live that long to establish that as the median at the time, and for the median to keep growing more people had to move beyond the current median making it longer.
