At the time they requested the extension of time. July 22nd would have given them a look at the Lamberth jury trial and a possible decision. The date for it has since been moved. I could be wrong. IMHO

sweeney/takings case: why do they need till july 22nd to appeal to scotus? what are plaintiffs waiting for? there must be a reason for this delay on plaintiff side. trying to read tea leaves.
