Good Overview of Movychem Re: Market Potential for Retacell
https://www.xeriant.com/movychem-details

MOVYCHEM
Founded in 1996, Movychem s.r.o. manufactures and distributes specialty industrial products, primarily in Central Europe, and is a leading innovator in eco-friendly fire protection technology. Their product line includes sealants, adhesives, fillers, additives, colorants, paints, coatings, fire retardants, and waterproofing materials for a variety of industry sectors and applications. In 2001, Movychem began its research, development and testing of its green, non-toxic, biodegradable, long-lasting, extremely high temperature thermal and fire protection technology, called Retacell®, which led to several global patents. Until recently, the company did not pursue wide scale commercialization of Retacell, focusing its efforts on R&D, testing and certification, and improving an already superior product with expanded protective and integrative capabilities. Uniquely versatile, Retacell can be applied as a coating or treatment, or infused during manufacturing into a variety of materials, including plastics, textiles and wood-based products, and is custom formulated to meet each application’s specifications. In addition to becoming heat and fire resistant, the resulting materials are also water resistant.

The number of potential applications for Retacell is almost unlimited, impacting a broad range of industries from transportation and construction to electronics and home furnishings, valued at over $5 Trillion. In the aerospace industry, Retacell may be used to enhance safety and reduce maintenance in aircraft, with possible uses in cabin interiors, wiring and electronics, airframe structures and engine components, including the insulation of batteries utilized in distributed electric propulsion systems.

Retacell has been effective as a fire retardant and high strength bonding agent in creating wall panels using recycled plastics and cardboard, which has generated interest from major home builders and construction products retailers in the U.S. who are looking for more cost-effective and sustainable fire protection solutions. The global green construction materials market, estimated at $318 Billion in 2021, is projected to reach $575 Billion by 2027, based on a report by Emergen Research.

The National Institutes of Health, among other research agencies, are looking to replace many of the harmful fire retardants currently on the market due to their effects on human health and the environment. One health issue is the bioaccumulation of toxic substances in the endocrine, immune, reproductive, and nervous systems due to prolonged exposure to fire retardant chemicals. Also, some fire retardants can also increase the danger of invisible toxic gases, which is the leading cause of death in fires. Retacell has no toxic chemicals and emits a harmless white smoke when exposed to fire.
