And they are bleeding cash which I don't understand since they claim to be recovering money for hospitals.

The company offers Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, and secondary payer reimbursement recovery services. Its data analytics platform identifies and uncovers historical waste and helps to support the long-term sustainability of Medicare and Medicaid programs, as well as recovers monies owed to hospitals, health insurance companies, and medical providers.

When my nephew was in college during the summer he worked for a company that audited hospitals accounts payable to make sure the payments were correct. Any recoveries he found were split 51% for the company and 49% for him. The company had a separate deal with the hospitals splitting it's percentage.

He once discovered that a patient had 2 pacemakers installed with 6 months. The first one was defective so the company that supplied it sent another pacemaker for the patient. But the company never credited the hosiptal for the bad one since it was under warranty. It was a $8000 recovery of which he got 49% of.
