gfp: We are due for a brief bounce back/short covering rally. I will start shorting the market more aggressively if we get one. The market still has a long way to drop. I think we'll get at least an 80% slide in the Russell and the Nasdaq, and probably 70% in the Dow and the S&P.....eventually. This is a generational bear market. Not your standard run of the mill correction.

I'm going to be away for a few weeks. I have to head up to Illinois after a stopover in Fayetteville, Arkansas to visit friends. We're going to see the Nashville band "Old Crow Medicine Show" tomorrow evening. One of my favorite bands. Their song "Rock Me Mama Like a Wagon Wheel" is one of the all time classics of Americana music. I will have almost 2 weeks off from watching the markets. I'm positioned the way I'm positioned and I'll live with whatever transpires. I know that over time the precious metals are going to have a monster rally. The inflation genie is out of the bottle and the Fed lacks the will and the means (politically) to bring it down meaningfully.
