Pegs I believe you are correct that any lithium-ion battery will have an SEI layer. Given that this is mandatory, what Coretec says they are doing differently is to 'engineer' or promote the forming of an SEI layer that does not impede efficient function of the battery. When the patent is published late summer/fall perhaps we'll gain a little insight into what is different, but like you I'll admit I'm no battery scientist/chemist. I have a friend who is a chemist however...

Evonik? I believe the actual wording in the conference call transcript is that Evonik DID produce some CHS and it was shipped to Coretec partners. The word partners likely refers to the agency's in Germany and France who are testing the material. Would have to go back and look to be sure but from memory the term 'customers' was not used. Why they haven't bothered to complete the order is something I don't think we're ever going to know for certain.
