You're being too harsh on him. This sounds like someone who saw a PR and never invested in OTC before. Your first thought wouldn't be he's lying about the whole thing and is a criminal. By the looks of his reddit post, it seems like Berman carried the entire conversation. Based on his writing, he also seems young and you can see how he would just defer to authority in that situation, the older white man being the authority.
