I mean, I'm not a big cook but it sounds a little like using a steak sauce after cooking. I get that you're coating the entire piece of meat instead of dipping, but is this just a pretentious way of saying "Then pour teriyaki over the whole chicken breast and flip it a couple of times before serving"?
