It seems that many think of S1 activation as an on/off switch. So anything that is an agonist should have the same effect as any other agonist i.e. it turns on the S1 receptor.

In fact there are a number of ways that the S1 receptor can be agonized and it appears that each different way has different results to a greater or lessor degree. There are agonists that doc at the "normal" docking site and agonize S1. There are agonists that are allosteric agonists that activate the S1 receptor by docking at a different part of the S1 receptor molecule. Apparently there are a number of different allosteric docking sites.

This is complicated stuff and it is not well understood.

Changing subjects. The gap at $7.53 is getting close to being filled, much to my surprise. I confess to thinking that it would never be filled.

As Gomer Pyle said "surprise, surprise, surprise."

If investing was easy, everyone would be rich by now.
