When I think of our general counsel being recently replaced with a litigator, JNJ winning its dispute with GMAB, and now this type of acquisition, my guess is that the board and Helen decided they shouldn't bet the farm on a hot new company with no revenues and went for a safer, lower risk/lower reward investment. My impression is that JNJ has excellent lawyers and my guess is that their agreement with Halo likely does not include an obligation to apply for a co-formulation patent for SC Darzalex so Halo probably knows already that there will be a stepped-down royalty rate. So, I'm just speculating that they felt they needed more revenue streams, the sooner the better.

It will be interesting to see how much cash they decide to borrow.
