correct. I have several accounts with Etrade. they left the cash accounts alone, but for my 1 margin account, they immediately sold multiple stock symbols in order to cover the negative balance. Very inefficient because of the commissions.
As soon as I saw this, I deposited money into all accounts, but I couldn't 'undo' their stock sales.
