A positive test at a medical facility gets reported to the local health authorities but home tests do not. You are correct that many cases now are not reported but hospitalization data are what matters now. If you are 3X vaccinated then omicron's exponentially less deadly than previous variants, rather similar to a common cold, and certainly not even in the same universe to mortality rate of GBM!

I wouldn't be concerned about reporting the results given there's already enough data being gathered for public health officials to understand how Covid works. Hope you and your family are doing well in this new year. It will be better than 2021 for sure.
