As Berman didn't own that many shares, GenViro wouldn't have been of much value to him unless he could buy in before mass manufacturing test kits. I think the moment shareholders rubbed him the wrong way is when they lost their right to have KB try to figure out a way to convince The Bio.

Berman did not need to buy shares, although he could have bought quite a few with his alleged porno money. Berman had options, free of charge and granted by the independent Board of Directors of DECN after getting approved by DECN's compensation committee.
