Actually, that is not true. I checked. The 1 for 8 split multiplied the sp by 8 and divided the OS by 8, maintaining the market cap. That is normal. But that stock went down from the time of the split, 6/28/19 for 18 months, until it took off in 2021 for reasons far different than a reverse split.
They also did a 1 for 100 RS 3 years earlier.
The OS at the time of the split dropped to 177M. It is now 330M, so they have been diluting substantially. Shareholder value has dropped nearly 50% due to dilution alone.
Today's share price of $.08 is not related to the reverse split in any substantial way - it is related to the company performing better in 2021. Before that, the SP was declining after the RS...not exactly what I'd call a 'very successful' RS.
